Time for Homework Book 2 is the third in a series of seven books written to help reinforce many of the concepts, skills and understanding needed with today's school curriculum. The series is designed as a user friendly resource that treats reading, handwriting, spelling, grammar, writing and mathematics.
The book contains 30 units of work. Each unit can be attempted over the period of one week. Each unit addresses the subjects outlined above along with topics addressed in today's environment and those in the new Australian Curriculum for Mathematics and English.
As the child's skills develop with sounds, words and reading the book introduces stories. They help in the development of word families, spelling and understanding of written texts. In addition the child is introduced to comprehension, punctuation and some grammar. At all times there is an emphasis on spelling, word association and reading.
