Time for Phonics Book 4Ā extends the phonetic approach to a higher level with more word families, more blends and some basic spelling rules. Phonetic irregularities are explained as the student works towards developing proficient reading skills.
An understanding of how to break compound words, homographs and homophones into syllables is a skill that will result in the student becoming a proficient reader. A variety of activities including word puzzles are provided to help extend skills and knowledge in reading and spelling.
